I paid a visit to my friend's floral design studio (she's a basement worker, just like me) and picked up a few of her beautiful flowers. She was in the process of designing the arrangements for 2 weddings that were happening over the weekend, which I'm sure were just gorgeous (folks use a LOT of flowers in their weddings these days). Other than a great wedding photographer, I think I would splurge on the flowers too, they make even a humble space beautiful).
It will not be consistently sunny and warm here in our part of the country until probably July (some locals say right after the 4th is when we get summer). I'm going to make the most of what we've got here with us right now, as unsummer as it may feel at times. The flowers that are blooming are getting an abundance of water, and the colors just seem to glow in the overcast, drippy daylight. I really think sometimes I was born to live in Seattle, the rain really doesn't bother me (usually).

I edited the written instructions for last Friday's granny square post, thanks to the help of crocheter Jasmine, whose following along with us. If you were having any trouble at all figuring out what I was trying to tell you to do, erase your brain and go read the new instructions.
