It's impossible to capture in this post both how clever and quick with a good idea my husband is, or how excited Ian is for his Halloween costume. A robot costume made from insulation sheets (look ma! I don't need a coat!) No sew whatsoever, insulation tape holds the "seams" together. Peter traced around a pair of Ian's jeans and a T-shirt, cut slits in the waist to feed a belt through. The top is a little fragile going on, but its been given a slighty wider, inconspicuous cut at the shoulders to help with that. Today comes the robot details, and whatever will cover the face. Meanwhile, it is sitting in our living room, waiting for candy.
Emma has a long day of costume-wearing both today and tomorrow (that's the problem when you have several Halloween events you simply must attend). She opted for a much easier, wearable teenage vampire costume. Black clothes, straight hair, a slight dusting of white glittery makeup, and fangs and she's good to go.
Trick or treat!
