Did you hear? Craft Hope is out in bookstores now! What a true labor of love this book has been for Jade, the person who practically defined how handcrafted and blogging combined together can make a difference for people all over the world. Read more about how this book and Craft Hope came to be in Jade's interview here.
It seems like ages ago that I was asked by Jade to contribute a project to Craft Hope: Handmade Crafts for a Cause. I was so excited! I created a simple stenciled t-shirt project that can be adapted many ways, from ornate to simple, and can easily be made in multiples. To quote the book-
"T-shirts for boys and girls are one of the items many nonprofits need the most. This stenciled design makes it easy to create multiple shirts with the help of a few volunteers. Once you're done, send the shirts off along with much needed items like socks, underwear, and toiletry supplies."
There are all sorts of wonderful projects in this book, from talented designers like Maya, Kathy, Malka, Rebeka, Manda, and Eren just to name a few. There are projects to knit, to sew, to quilt, to stamp, you name it. I am honored to be in such amazing company.
*I have two copies of Craft Hope to give away to one lucky commenter (US only please)! Just leave a comment on this post and I will draw one name on Friday.
