Ok, l have been enjoying the videos I'm seeing on friend's blogs lately. It's such a neat way to share small glimpses of days and lives. It reminded me that I took video during a solo field trip to the Central Seattle Public Library back in February and promptly forgot about it when I got home. I decided to dust it off.
I love that we have this iconic architecture in our city. I have shared previous trips there with you before, here and here. Designed by Rem Koolhaus, completed in 2004, this place gives a whole new meaning to a public library space (and its an entirely different experience to go there alone versus with the kids). Being inside the library can give me a weird feeling of space, there's many things around you that trick the eye (like the angled windows). Its actually a little hard to walk through certain areas and film at the same time, I can start to feel unbalanced. Which is kind of weird and cool, all at the same time. There are 11 floors, lots of escalators, and some neat art installations.
Enjoy the tour and have a great weekend!
