Most definitely Fall here. I empty backpacks full of teeny little crab apples and horse chestnuts at the end of the week. You can see what came out of Emma's pack. Its become sort of an unconscious tradition among friends at school to forage for these things (they are prolific on the school grounds), sharing the special ones with friends. I don't actually know what is defined as a special one, and can only guess. Ian was proud to tell me that his 3rd grade buddy gave him a shiny chestnut that was still warm because it had been in the sun.
Wanted to let you know I added the recipe to make the sugar candy I made with the kids a few weeks ago. If you make some, I'd love to hear about it. Its so pretty to see the results, especially with food coloring.
By the way...have you seen America At Home?
And Karen, thank you for your comment on the last post, it gave me a huge smile : )
