Our computer is still painfully slow, so I will just say a big thanks for all the wonderful comments about Penelope. She sits here in the studio with me for now, all smiley.
I succumbed to my previously ignored urge to buy some Martha Stewart crafts
the other day. Its all sooo great, the selection is painfully good. (We can all relate to that when it comes to crafts, right? Don't you feel that way when you are checking out Superbuzzy?) Anyway, up until now I had managed to convince myself that its all really more for
scrapbooking and paper crafts, or the paper detail experts. How could I be worthy? But I was enticed the other day when I found a few of the items on sale at our local Michael's- those
cute paper bag puppets were $2.00 each, so the kids both got one. I got a pendant kit for Emma (she doesn't know it), and I think I might use it myself. I don't know if I could stand it if she put a Pokemon character in there, when a happy little feedsack print would be so perfect. I bought a specimen box, although I tried hard not to. I used some paper I had at home and the cut the butterflies, making this little piece to hang in Emma's room. (Ignore that one that seems a little crooked.) I can see a whole bunch of specimen artwork in our future. Unless there is some sort of intervention attempt.
