The sunshine quilt top is pieced together. (Let me promise you now that this is not turning into a quilting only blog, but thank you for continuing to follow me on my little quilt tangent for now.) This came together quickly, but the finished top is feeling small to me. I am trying to decide if I should, at the very least, add some sort of border around it to make it a little bigger. mulling it over...
Today is the official last day of the school year for both my kids. Unexpectedly, my throat has a little lump in it. I have had Ian all to myself each morning while Emma and Peter were out of the house (he has had afternoon preschool all year) for the whole school year. Its been special and quite nice to hang out with him. My mornings are going to feel very different next year. He proudly announces to every grown-up who will listen that he is going to Kindergarten soon, and I realize this has all crept up on me. I fear I will be a complete wet rag of tears on the first day I take him to school next Fall.
At least I have the summer...
My computer is running super slow. Hmmmm...I wonder if it would have anything to do with the 4000 photos I have in IPhoto, waiting to be burned onto disk, printed out, or otherwise backed up?? Now you know what I'll be doing this weekend.
