Has anybody seen my week? It was here a minute ago...maybe its in Ian's pocket...
In recognition of Earth Day on April 22, I am very excited to be making terrariums with my Girl Scouts tomorrow. I made one of these at a summer camp as a kid and thought it was pretty much the coolest thing ever. We will also be planting seeds to make gigantic sunflowers...because, yes, it still blows my own mind that a flower bigger than your head on a 10 foot stalk can grow from a tiny seed.
Checked out Danny Seo's Simply Green Giving from the library...they are going to have to pry it out of my hands to get it back. Full of great ideas, this one is...
wrapping gifts in cut off shirt sleeves-
how to make a "scented" flower from all those perfumed inserts I rip out of magazines-
a way to use all those tiny bits of ribbon we always have left over...for gift wrap-
and for scrap balls (I really like these)-
(There is daily inspiration over at Danny's blog too.)
Personally, I can always use reminders about how to treat our world a little more gently. Good thing I have lots of green inspiration.
I hear the coffee's ready. I am going to make a cup and sit outside for a few minutes. Its absolutely beautiful here today. Hope you can enjoy a little sun on your face where you are.
