Oh yes, it was that fun. Every minute of it. Studio Craft was the result of a lot of hard work by a lot of ladies and it was such a lovely day. Hanging out with Alicia and Stephanie again was such a treat, and I finally got to meet sweet Abby, Lisa (you, dear, are my rock star), Sally, Melissa. Sally and Melissa, thank you for creating such beautiful energy around this event,
and Melissa a special thanks to you (and Paul and Sam) for giving us your
beautiful home for the day. So many of you came out to see us. I feel so very lucky to now know what some of you look like in person and can put a face to your blog. Thank you for the support, the enthusiasm, all of it means so much.
Sumi of Sun and Stone, who designs beautiful jewelry, said something that really struck me after the show was over yesterday. We were all packing up and I said something to the effect of "wow, that was fun" and Sumi replied that she just wanted everything that was bought from her to work out for everyone and she hoped they were happy with it all. Isn't that so very sweet? She cares, we all care. I am so glad we care. The packaging, the details, the bits, the bobs. Call us crazy, but we love it all so much.
It rained so hard on the way back to Seattle that I had to stop and get a Dairy Queen Blizzard to get me through it. (Yes, it helped.) Next week, there is still much to do, but I will at least be able to check in with you guys again. I woke up this morning and baked biscuits from scratch (I am from the south, you know) for my kids and I am hoping to get my studio back in shape. Doing nothing...gee, that would be nice too.
