Fabric
combinations picked out for a new flock of birds. I'm silly with love all over again
for these Japanese prints (I've thrown in some new prints too, thank
you Lisa). Its raining outside today, heavier than usual. That northwest instinct to nest in
drippy weather like this has a strong pull for me, so I'm thankful Ian and I can
hang out at home today. I haven't spent this much time in my studio for a
while (thank you Ian, for letting me). Well...I have, but it was all about cleaning it up. But now,
lists of deadlines have all been made, order has been somewhat
re-established, and onward I go. Excitement is right around the corner for me these days. Plush You II
is opening on October 4th, and I can't wait to see some of your work up close and in person. Did you know that the show is twice as big as it was last year? Apparently, that is quite a lot of plush toys! And if you're local and
able to make it to my Plush You workshop on September 30, I'd love to see and meet you (did I mention there will be cookies??). I have coerced begged asked my sister-in-law Jennifer to fly in and co-host with me. I don't really claim to be a workshop conductor at all, although the one thing I can do is sew...and I'm told I talk quite a bit.
And, I've recently gotten a bit obsessed over finding a new winter coat. Hmmmm, wonder why that is.....
