little green peas

My kids are so taken with this story, illustrated by Jen Corace, about a little green pea who HAS to eat candy every single night for dinner.  Oh, how he hates candy.  Candy, candy, candy....yuck!  But if he finishes his candy, he'll grow into a big strong pea and he'll be rewarded with spinach for dessert, his favorite!

This book and cuddly pea is for a special little boy who's about to turn 3, one of my very favorite little peas.  Its made from the same thrifted men's velvet shirt that you've already seen in this bag and this one.  (You'll probably be seeing it again, it was an XL.)

Emma decided to make her own little pea.

Guess what we're having for dinner?
