I'd like to thank the blogging academy...
for all bits of cute and special that have graced our doorstep this week. Allow me to introduce you to Miss Tartlett, courtesy of the lovely Alicia. Words cannot describe how much my family loves this wonderful little cagelet-
It is now hanging above Emma's bed, temporarily attached with the baker's string it was packaged up with- which creates a nice little twirly effect- and I stopped several times yesterday to just admire it. Alicia, you have renewed my love of pink, tiny, and floral.
My swap package from Kristen arrived Friday (the beauty of swapping with someone who lives in the same town is that it arrives the next day!). So many wonderful things, but most importantly, please notice my new bermuda bag cover. Oh, how I love it Kristen! Emma has made off with the stickers and treats, but we're negotiating penguin time, I'm not giving that one as easy! She keeps walking by me and saying things like "I'm gonna name it Sparkle (for its sparkly, snow-covered-like black felt)".
Below is a closeup of all the smaller little goodies, a button ring, beautiful green earrings, and a tiny wooden bunny and bird. Thank you so much for all these things Kristen, I love love love each and every little thing, a very thoughtful package. We had originally planned to do a Japanese themed swap, but forces stronger than my own compelled me into a pink and green mood. But color is such a fun thing to created a package around. I hope you like it all Kristen.
This little acorn bookmark below is from Jen at Sparrowgoods. She does amazing things with wool. I had an obsession with needlefelting last summer, and went nuts until I thought I'd given myself a bad case of carpel tunnel. But I still have a ton of wool roving just waiting for me to stab it sometime soon. Jen, you are definitely inspiring me.
This picture is for Hillary. I happened to have one piece of magnetic paper by the computer and what a perfect thing to use it for. Emma even took the whole shebang with her to a playdate in the afternoon because she was still having fun with it. But, Hillary, now you need to make a boy paper doll...pretty please.
You guys are ruining me for anything mass-produced. I now walk around my favorite retail haunts and am so...uninspired after seeing all this. I find myself saying, 'but so-and-so did something like this and its soooo much nicer'.
I've had almost as much fun sending out mail as receiving it. I sent out some goodies to some friends for staying off the glowing box for a day and just general thank you's. They're starting to arrive at their destinations. Lookie here!

so glad you liked everything! i have been busy today but plan on putting up your pics as soon as i can! i love my stuff and many things are already in use

I love it all.
I shouldn't be on the computer because I'm trying to finish by mini swap package. I think I am the only one who hasn't got theirs in the post.

That is an awesome swap stash. I can't believe you got a bbag cover??!! It's awesome. And I love the paper dolls. I have to make a trip to the office supply store to pick up some magnetic paper...I can't wait to make a set. My Emma will LOVE them. (if I let her take a turn with them...)
Oh--jackie--I haven't sent mine yet...oops!!

I totally agree with being dissatisfied with mass-produced stuff! I can't go to the local shopping centre for fun anymore.
