...currently evolves around this quilt. "What a Bunch of Squares" from the Denyse Schmidt quilt book. (Here it is in a totally different colorway.)
I know I have the true spark of a new project on the horizon when I go to sleep dreaming about how I will make it. That's when I know I'm truly obsessed. And apparently I am. This is going to be made specifically for my bed. Oh...wait...an idea is coming to me...shades of cocoa brown for square centers, with pale blues for the squares. Yes, I can see it. I've realized I can't shop for solid fabrics on the internet, I'm going to have to do this the old-fashioned way, on foot.
So, I conversed with Sarah yesterday and put myself in the Denise Schmidt Quilt Along. I've signed my contract, so to speak. I'm still planning to do another Modern Quilt Along entry, but that will be after this one. This one has to get done by May...so I can use it on my bed for the summer and stop obsessing over it.
This weekend will be comprised of the following:
1. Wondering how someone like Marla can still be in it if she can't drape, sew, or make a decent pattern...
2. Get my family healthy.
3. Clean up my craft space to get it ready for upcoming projects.
4. Get my family healthy.
5. Starting mother/daughter versions of this for Emma's school auction.
Have a great weekend, I will hopefully be back bright-eyed and busy-tailed on Monday.
