This picture is from this book. I borrowed from the picture for my pink tote, the same part shown in the book as a sweet little book cover.
I used pink linen, with beige linen lining, and a ribbon tie closure. Not very autumnal, but I went with it anyway.
The little embroidery spoke to me because Emma is now reading and also campaigning for a dog (glad she's getting the first one, I'm not ready for the second one). I love these simple little child-like drawings and often wonder what to make using them. I have embroidered many plain white T-shirts with Emma's drawings on them. Her current favorite is her unicorn.
Much cuter than anything I could draw.
I have had a very busy couple of days getting the nuts and bolts of our lives under control. Hope that tomorrow will be a day to catch up on some more creative things. Looking forward to the weekend and this.
