I have been so inspired by all the creative energy over at Dioramarama and the Modern Quilt Along. I decided to take the plunge. And quite a plunge it is for me. You understand, I am not a quilter. Well...I wasn't until now I guess. But, its something I've always wanted to try. But geeeezzz, having all those (millions) of little pieces cut to precise measurements, then hoping like heck they'll fit together in the end reasonably uniformly, I didn't feel capable. Nope, I'll take the instant gratification crafty little project, thank you very much, leave the quilting to the experts. But the whole time thinking, "Why couldn't I do it, huh??" So, here I go. I've chosen to do the "Once Upon A Time" quilt and work alongside the Modern Quilt Alongers if they'll have me. I have cut out all the pieces for the story line and background of the front. Now to beg, borrow, and steal the remaining story pieces I need, about 36 more.
Various story blocks cut out...
And my background and storyline blocks, cut, assembled, and ready to go...
I will literally be keeping you posted (hee hee)...
